Santa
Barbara Dance Alliance is thrilled to bring back its annual International
Dance and Music Festival. A tremendous success in its 14th year
of running, the festival expands in talent, virtuosity and cultural diversity
every year. We would like to invite you to become a partner in making
this year’s
festival another successful event!
What Is It?
The International
Dance and Music Festival will be held at The Marjorie Luke Theatre ideal for its stage, large shaded grassy clearing and children’s
playground. On September 13, 2008, The Marjorie Luke will be transformed into
a cultural panorama of dance and music from all over
the world. Over 15 different ethnic performances will fill the stage
with the sounds and movement of the world. Live music and free dance lessons will make this year’s festival an experience
long remembered.
Why Come?
The Santa Barbara community has an extraordinary affinity for cultural
arts. While sprinklings of dance may be witnessed at the few remaining ethnic festivals throughout the year, so well loved by the larger
Santa Barbara community, the opportunity to indulge in a broad variety
of dance, music and dance classes iis only provided by
Santa Barbara Dance Alliance's annual International
Dance and Music Festival. This unique experience brings together
the people of many nations that live and work in Santa Barbara to express
and share their heritage.
