what is danceflash?
DanceFlash is a weekly e-newsletter publication that is e-mailed to over 1500 Santa Barbara community residents. It informs our constituents about dance events, workshops, master classes, job auditions, scholarships and grant opportunities in Santa Barbara County, as well as state and nation-wide arts advocacy news. It is sent or "flashed" out on Wednesdays of each week, with the exception of National Holidays. DanceFlash is a membership benefit of SBDA, meaning that our members can utilize DanceFlash for their dance publicity needs.

Let us know what dance related events you are holding in the Santa Barbara area so we can spread the word every Wednesday! We will list your event for 2-3 weeks prior to the day of. Submit your information no later than 5pm Mondays. Listings received late may not be included in DanceFlash. SBDA reserves the right to make edits as needed. - Items unrelated to dance
- Listings from outside of SB County unless they contain grants, job/audition opportunities, or arts advocacy
- Studio & instructor class schedules
- Studio open house or introductory class announcements
- Workshops that last longer then one week
- Fundraisers (performances ok)
