Santa Barbara Dance Alliance, in 2004, collaborating with local supporters and donors developed a dance education scholarship program for local, talented, dedicated and financially needing young artists.
Since the inception of our scholarship program 8 years ago, Dance Alliance has awarded scholarships to 169 talented and dedicated young artists. These scholarships help aid the costs of professional dance training programs. We have funded, with your help, nearly $76,000 to aid with their technical dance studies. They are recommended by their studios, audition in front of a professional dance panel and are awarded up to half of their tuition. Dance Alliance tracks their progress and we proudly have seen a number of them through repeat years of support.
